About Us

Welcome to Middlesbrough Erimus Rotary Club. The Club is the youngest of three Middlesbrough Clubs, having been chartered in 1985. Club meetings take place at 6pm on Tuesday evenings at Middlesbrough Golf Club (Brass Castle Lane, Marton, Middlesbrough, TS8 9EE).

Over the years, the Club has had an average of around 30 members from a wide range of backgrounds, including Engineering, Education, the Health Service, Police, local Government and small businesses. Whilst a majority of the membership is now retired, the Club is actively seeking to recruit younger male and female members.

Since its formation, the Club has gained a reputation in Rotary for being innovative and breaking new ground. In the mid 1990s it established the North East Games for People with Disabilities and this event, which is now run by Rotary’s North East England District, has proved to be highly successful. In addition to a series of annual fund raising activities, the Club has run several special charity projects including sponsored walks over the Transporter Bridge and the Great North Bikini Challenge that attracted excellent publicity for Rotary on Radio 2′s Chris Evans Show. More details of recent and planned future activities can be found by using the tabs at the top of this page.
